Old Town Camper Canadian Canoe. With Optional Sculling Conversion. Lightly Used.

For sale: Old Town Camper Canadian canoe, 3 paddles, sculling conversion inl. Oars and seat. It's the lighter "Royalex" version and in very good condition. The main reason for selling it is because it only gets used about once a year! Some light scratches on the bottom, but all cosmetic.

The most unusual feature is that I made a sculling conversion outfit for it. If you win the boat it will come in the traditional open canoe canadian paddle set up. Carrying thwart in the centre and two seats. The photos show that by removing the carrying thwart and putting in two other thwarts and some oar outriggers and a sliding seat unit (a sawn off exercise machine) you can convert it into sculling mode! It goes a lot faster, and you can take 3 passengers.

With a little camping seat (not incl. In sale) I could move my wife and two under 10s comfortably along the Thames at Hampton Court. There are a couple of sculling conversion kits available on classifieds board that come from the US. They go for over £200! If you wanted to restore the boat to it's original spec.
