Old Town Canadian Canoe 174 - 17 Foot Open Boat For Four People Plus Gear

Well loved Old Town open boat. This was used for trips in the lakes but has not been out for a while now, so time to let it go. It has had one thwart (the strengthening cross section) replaced and the other reconditioned and treated to reproof it. In good condition except one side has some cracking in the outer skin, most likely due to UV in the sunlight whilst stored. This does not effect the hull strength.

The inner foam body is fully intact and the seats are solid. It has the usual minor bumps and scrapes, specially on bow and stern. If you want paddles I have a collection of simple plastic paddles suitable for expeditioning but you may want or have your own paddles. Please call and arrange to collect it from Brampton near Carlisle. Given that you will have to collect and that I would like this boat to be used I have a low starting price.

Summer is icumen and you could get the whole family and the dog in this thing and still have room. Our family had some fab days on Ullswater. The design is such that it will float at the surface even when full of water.
