I encourage you to google the no longer produced Old Town Canadienne to learn how great and well regarded this canoe is (e.g. Paddling dot com gear reviews). It was designed in conjunction with Old Town by the famous Ralph Frese. It is an absolute joy to paddle, but sadly I must downsize my number of boats. This lightly and gently used canoe has one owner.
It has always been stored indoors and upside down (see picture). Super stableLarge seating area makes it comfortable for long paddle days or maneuverability when fishingTracks very wellIncredibly fast to paddle. You will be amazed at how quick it is on the water.Handles well in river rapids and standing waves, big swells in the Great Lakes, and heavily loaded with gearDesigned to handle heavy loads of gear for multi-week trips or plenty of room for 2 kids or dogs in the middle for a fun day cruise on the lake.Don't worry, fiberglass is strong and will take abuse, but avoid high speed collisions with rocks in fast rivers.Examine the photos carefully for scratches and wear/use that are typical of a fiberglass canoe used in rivers. They do not affect the performance. Other than these scratches the boat looks nearly new.
Floor of canoe has light wear. The hull has never been ruptured or repaired. Beautiful wood throughout the interior for the cane seats, tie down/stabilizers for gear, portage yoke, and handles. Alum gunwales resist abuse, and reduce maintenance vs. The wood option.
The canoe is ~80 pounds since it is big and fiberglass, but can be portaged by one person using the yoke and ideally some shoulder padding. It balances very well on your shoulders. Original bill of sale and owners manual included. Free local pick-up or we can discuss alternatives beginning at $1/mile, limited to 400 miles and non-refundable. I drive, you paddle.
