OLD TOWN CANOE “ALLAGASH” plus YAKIMA canoe/small boat trailer plus sail and sailing rig plus many extras. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY. These items are housed in Ventura County, California and cannot be shipped, so I am looking for a local sale. Opening bid on these never-used sporting items is unbelievable. Please read on.
CANOE: Allagash 164, no longer produced but similar to Old Town’s Penobscot. 16’4”. New condition, never touched water, has been garaged for 14 years. I believe (but not sure) the material is PolyLink. This is a good looking canoe in the popular deep green color. Extras include two removable seat backs, flotation bags fore and aft, wet bag, mounting straps.
Two paddles, BB Special 52 inches — these are the paddles designed with an offset angle that improves ease and efficiency of use. The canoe weighs about 70 pounds. Condition: a small surface scuff here and there, occurring while stored in my garage, otherwise pristine. Also includes: Sailing rig: Professionally made balanced lugsail and mast; home-made wooden sailing modifications such as clamp-on rudder and leeboards (mahogany), and clamp-on mast step. Sail and mast were professionally made in Maine by a wooden canoe builder.
I never got around to sail it but it should be a fast and smooth sailing vessel. Sailing modifications are clamp-on and easily removable. Minnkota “Power Paddle” which is basically a trolling motor, specifically engineered for use with Old Town canoes. Battery powered (battery not included). When rudder is removed, the “Power Paddle” is clamped in its place.
Two flotation vests. Small two-wheel launching trolley. None of this has ever been used. YAKIMA TRAILER: Yakima Rock and Roll 78 trailer. This is a highly rated trailer, 78” wide, with a spare tire attached.
Purchased in 2014 and never used, except only once to drive to DMV to get it registered. Uses a trailer hitch with a heavy duty 2” ball assembly included. Trailer hitch not included. Torque wrench is included, used to properly tighten ball to trailer hitch.Trailer folds into a compact shape for compact storage against a garage wall. Look up the reviews: this is a quality trailer with great shocks/springs and a smooth ride -- you hardly know it’s there.
My opening bid is very, very low, and the “buy it now” price is a steal. No question. Returns not accepted. Thanks for looking.
