Old Town Charles River Camoe

We have had the canoe for a number of years and enjoyed many good times on the water. But sadly since the children have grown up it is no longer used as much as it should be. The canoe can fit two adults and two children plus small dogs and everything you need for days out on the water or camping out. Included in the sale are two removable seats and three paddles ( two adult and one child’s). The original design dates back over 100 years and Old Town have modernised it and improved the build quality for today’s high standards but kept the traditional look that makes Open Canoeing so appealing. If you look past the fantastic traditional looks of the Old Town Charles River you have a seriously good open boat in terms of on-water performance. The Charles River is slightly narrower than the old Camper with a more flared hull shape which cuts through the water quicker and with less effort for distance canoeing. The Tumblehome design means that the width at the gunwales is narrower than at the waterline which not only looks great, but also makes for an easier paddling position without compromising on stability.
