Old Town Discovery 169 Open Canoe Canadian Canoe

Old town discovery 169 open canoe. I've owned this canoe for some time now and have had some great paddles with the kids and friends alike. It has been great however now that my son is older he has decided he wants a kayak of his own with him being in control and I'm not allowed to expand my fleet! The boat is 16' 9" long and has two moulded plastic seats. There are two ash thwarts one of which is a yoke for carrying the canoe inverted.

There are two air bags to aid flotation if the boat gets flooded although the boat itself is unsinkable. There is a bow/stern dragline for safety and the boat has holes drilled for rigging in lashing points. Included with the canoe are three paddles, two full size plastic and aluminium and one shorter junior/emergency paddle, two medium sized buoyancy aids and two waterproof barrels for camping equipment. All together there is most of what you need for an amazing river Bourne camping trip. The only downside is that the boat was repaired (professionally) using Kevlar and epoxy after collision with a rock.

This repair is totally sound and waterproof but looks a little ugly however the ugly bit is under water!
