Old Town Ojibway PolyLink3 Canoe (based on Discovery 158) Well-loved and well-used Old Town Ojibway 3-seat canoe, looking for a new home. This has been used on fresh-water and sea lochs in Scotland, in sheltered coastal waters and canals and rivers. For short expeditions, day trips, family days out, etc.pretty, to carry up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (and a dog). Really stable due to the tumblehome design, the hull shape is based on the Discovery 158. Tough and hardwearing PolyLink3 moulded construction.
I’m including two Carlisle paddles, one 40in and one 34in shaft lengths. There are rope carry handles and cord lashing points through the bow and stern. The canoe is in pretty good condition. It has been slightly modified for air bags, with cord put in near the bow and a small hole in the back seat for an airbag top-up tube. The bottom and sides have the usual scratches and scrapes from rocks, hauling and pebble beaches.
There a marks due to general wear and tear (see photos for condition). The Old Town stickers have come off, but the Ojibway decals are still there, along with the metal Old Town badge. Photos show the canoe and paddles, plus a couple of it in action, and a page from the 2004 Old Town catalog showing the boat. Any additional kit, airbags etc is not included in the sale. Old Town said: Blending tradition and technology, the innovative Ojibway features classic shape and styling inspired by Old Town's Native American heritage, combined with advanced, unitized PolyLink3 construction for optimum strength, durability, safety and performance.
