Old Town Penobscot 16 Canoe, Royalex, c.1993

Here is the Old Town Penobscot 16 canoe. My father bought this canoe new, and then just stored it away for the rest of his life. It has been out exactly twice, in flat calm water, and has never been subjected to any kind of rough conditions, impacts, or any other type of insult. It has been stored for all these years in a dark, dry, enclosed garage, which has a pretty stable climate because it is part of a walk-out basement in north Alabama. Due to its good storage conditions and almost complete lack of use, it is still in near-new condition, with few minor scuffs.

Unlike more recent Penobscots, this canoe is made of Royalex, the premier synthetic canoe material which hasn't been available for many years. The canoe is very clean, and the seats, thwart, and yoke look like new, as do the gunwales, decks, and all the decals. The canoe is available for local pick-up from the north side of Lake Seminole in Seminole County, southwest Georgia. We could bring it a reasonable distance if the buyer is coming from very far away.
