Condition Description: 
There are dents and scratches that would be expected in a boat that is ten years old and has had a lot of use. There is no sign of oil canning or hogging but the outer vinyl layer is starting to wear out at a few points near the ends. The photos show some white scuff marks on other parts of the boat but these are just superficial. The vinyl layer on the inside is still good and the hull is basically sound.
Description: 

Old Town Penobscot 16 in royalex, ten years old. It has served us well up to now and had a lot of use, picking up a considerable number of battle scars along the way. There is no sign of oil canning or hogging but the outer vinyl layer is starting to wear out at a few points near the ends. See the condition description for further details. There are some wear points in the vinyl next to the grab loop caused by rope, as shown in the bow close up.

It is still a nice boat to paddle solo or tandem. The boat is outfitted with a kneeling thwart and 'D' rings and there are black foam sheets fitted for knee protection. The latter can be removed without damaging the boat (I have removed the front seat one already as it was getting very tatty).
