The Penobscot is an ideal canoe for touring inland waters such as rivers, lakes, canals, lochs as well as sheltered estuaries. Made up of three layers, an inner layer of close cell foam is sandwiched between two layers of high-density polyethylene ensuring that the canoe has superior strength and durability while still remaining buoyant. The three layer polyethylene provides a lighter, stiffer and stronger build than that of a single layered canoe.

This canoe has seen lots of life and will need some repairing to be fully watertight. It has wear on the bang plates at both ends caused by years of beaching onto rocks. There are also some cracks near the bow on the inside which would benefit from a patch up. No other major issues, seats, thwarts and gun whales are all ok.
