Old Town Penobscot 174 Canoe - Needs Proffesional Plastic Repair.

Old Town Penobscot 174 - 17 foot family sized canoe. Sold as spares / repairs as the repair has cracked and has to be professionally repaired by canoe / plastics specialist. I bought this last year as the fields outside our house have flooded three years in a row. Done a few minor repairs, bought paddles, trolley and life jackets and guess what? - the field didn't flood this year!

It was a hire canoe so has been used. I re-glassed the front and rear skid plates and I repaired a minor crack in the innner skin. The thin crack was about the size of a horshoe. I 'Tiger sealed in between the inner floor and the buoyancy foam. Fibreglassed it and resin.

Then tiger sealed two gauze sheets and gel coated it. Then finished the edges with Isopon fibreglass paste. I thought this would do the trick but when flexed the repair cracked open. Comes with new paddles and two home made ones. Trolley and two xxl life jackets.

I'd say they were medium to large in reality. Easier to put on a roof rack with two people as it's heavy and long. CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY!
