Old Town Penobscot Allagash 164 Canadian Canoe

My much loved Allagash (now called a Penobscott) is up for sale. No repairs, no warps, plastic gunnels and wooden seats - no rot. Usual scraped along the bottom. This is a brilliant canoe that can take carry a large amount of gear or bodies. I've paddled it solo, as well as having my wife, daughter, mum, myself and three dogs in.

We've used it solely on the calm rivers, to which it's well suited. It's a versatile beast, extremely stable, tracks well in the water yet remains easily manoeuvrable. Selling as my wife has a back problem and can no longer help me load and unload onto the car so we'll need something smaller and lighter. Collection is from Henley on Thames - I can possibly drive and meet within reason to shorten a journey for you if it helps - Please be aware I won’t be able to arrange for you to collect until late August/Early September
