Old Town Sailing Canoe (1931 Heavy Water Model Complete)

This is a remarkable piece of history, a 1931 Heavy Water Model Old Town Guide 16’ Sailing Canoe that is complete and ready for a new owner. I was informed that ties canoe shipped on June 20th of 1931 which makes it a 92 year survivor! The canoe has been well-maintained and is in great condition for its age. There are a couple of areas that the wood is showing its age, but it’s very integral Ana solid. I haven’t put it on the water, but from the condition it looks very water worthy!

The 16’ canoe is made by the well-known brand Old Town and is perfect for a complete restoration. The canoe has been built to last and is a testament to the craftsmanship of the Old Town brand. I’ve included a picture of how it has been stored for many years prior to me purchasing it at an estate sale. Note: I used a graph and serial number to date this boat so I could be off by a year or two either way, but I’m sure it’s close. I’ve attached the original build sheet for this canoe thanks to a kind member here on classifieds board! This boat is for sale locally in Indianapolis, IN so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If a bid is placed on classifieds board, it will sell to the highest bidder. I would also deliver the canoe up to 300 miles for $1.50/loaded mile.
