Vintage 1942 Old Town 16' Canoe In Excellent Condition

Built by the Old Town Canoe Company in 1942 and sold to Maxon Cabins of Onaway, Michigan on July 13, 1942, the canoe, serial number 134390, grade aa, model HW, is in excellent condition. The canoe features mahogany gunwales, decks, thwarts, and seats. The hull is two coat varnished canvas. The seat webbing is in perfect condition, as is the entire interior. The hull has a couple minor scratches and nicks as well as one small spot on the hull where the varnish ran a bit.

The included paddles are in perfect condition. In short, the canoe is a testament to Old Town Canoe’s vintage craftsmanship and today, serves an amazing collector's piece, decor enhancement, or elegant watercraft. Provenance from the Old Town Canoe company, dated July 13, 1942; the Old Town Canoe decal on the bow; and the serial number embossed in the floor of the bow and stern establish the canoe as an authentic, original, Old Town Canoe Company canoe. The canoe is stored inside our home in Grandville, Michigan. Bank or credit union cashier's check will be accepted as payment.
