Vintage Old Town Blue 17 Foot Tripper Model Canoe ~ Circa 1980 ~ No ReserveThis Old Town Tripper Canoe is in great condition. This Tripper Model has incredible 5-star reviews online. Original Owner - The owner said this canoe was purchased brand new from L.L. Bean in 1980. She said it was totally amazing and though they traveled over rocks it never leaked.

It is fiberglass. It has not been used for at least ten years as the couple got older and the husband passed. They only used it a few times every year but just during the summers as they lived in Massachusetts and Vermont at that time. She said it is a very nice sturdy canoe. I do not think it is fiberglass, I think it may be Royalex/Oltonar construction which was made around that time. If you ran over or on rocks with a fiberglass canoe it would be much more marked up than it shows or you would have a hole in it depending on how you hit the rocks. I may be wrong just my opinion.I would be interested in looking at it, if it is really fiberglass would change my decision. I would be coming from RI so I would like to be sure ahead of time.
