New wood gunwales and unique "cap rail" make the lines on this boat really pop. The exterior has a thin epoxy and glass sheathing for structural advantage and abrasion resistance superior to canvas. The new epoxy fastened one inch wood keel offers directional stability and protection when coming ashore. Beautiful to admire in any setting. This 18 foot boat is the Guide model, known for its sweet lines and ability to complete extended trips. Originally built in 1928 and completed in 1929 the photo record shows the craft was sold to the Boston YMCA. This 18 foot wood canoe has the uniquely shaped curved ends of the highly desired Old Town Guide model. The canoe is ready for the water on day 1.

After many years of use and lying in storage, the boat has been lovingly restored for aquatic use on a lazy river or scenic lake. Also offered only with this sale, 1 Sears Gamefisher 1.2 HP motor, last used in running condition, needs fuel line, and possibly carburetor tune up. Also, 1 paddle included.
