Vintage Old Town Patent Swivel Oar Locks Wilcox & Crittenten Style Bronze

Vintage Wilcox & Crittenten style swivel oar lock. This is part of the oar lock that holds the oar. I do not have base that it fits in. From what I can find out this style is most likely from the 1930s. Which corresponds well with the property this was found on.

One common usage appears to have been on OLD TOWN square stern canoes and or dingy. I am sure other used them as well. The only markings I can find are a stamped number 23 on the base. I cannot determine if these are Wilcox & Crittenten though they were a large producer, thus am referring to them as that style. In my research the WC mark was on the base. (PS.

I have seen Crittenten also spelled Crittenton) Very heavy and robust piece. Please look at photo that has some measurements I took. It should help you need determine fit. I do not know if more than one size was manufactured. If you need additional information please ask.
