Canadian Canoe - Rogue River 14 Tk

Ideal versatile family Canoe. As a single Dad I bought this when my three kids were much younger and we regularly enjoyed family camping trips out to the islands on Derwentwater or other lakes. Even with me, three u10s and all our camping gear on board her above average beam meant she never felt unstable and never ever tipped. But at 13'11" she is also short enough to be maneuverable so even younger paddlers can learn to control her with safety. Her inherent buoyancy means that she is unsinkable.

And yes, I have tried! She is easy to handle either tandem or solo and would also be perfectly suited to a small petrol or electric outboard motor, or even a sailing rig. Her above average stability would make her far better suited to fishing than more sporty canoes. Not so good bits are the usual scratches to the hull, none of which are deep or serious, and the central wooden thwart has rotted through at one end. Replacing this is a very straightforward job which would probably take no more than an hour.
