17' Ceder Strip Canoe No Ribs Epoxied Sturdy Ready To Use Handcrafted Boat

This is a very nice handcrafted wood strip canoe that was made in the 80's or 90's, I'm not sure but the last time it was registered was in 2000. This was designed with no ribs or seats, you just sit on the bottom otherwise you can put seats in it. Does not come with any paddles either. We dont use it anymore, it is around 17' long and the widest part is nearly 36" by the carrying yoke. Made of cedar strips the story goes someone had it made to use for re-ennactments and as they got older they didnt use it anymore.

The dude I bought it from said the hand prints supposedly are from the Native Americans that made it? How he said it with a straight face I dont know. My story is I found it hanging in an old barn years ago and it hung in our lake place the last several years and we are getting too old to take it down and clean it. As you can see it comes with a nice layer of Ohio dust that I include free with purchase. These are kinda expensive when you can find a good one, this is a good one with a low starting price so you get to set the final price.

I didnt test it for leaks but I see no cracks or damage of any kind. I held it up to the light and there are a few small holes that are in knots but they are covered with fiberglass fabric and epoxy which lets light through but not water. THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE ONE PICTURED, and is the only one I have. I am starting it at only $799.99 and offer free local pickup. I will deliver for $1 per loaded mile.

Canoe and delivery must be paid prior to my leaving my home. I am in NW Ohio and once paid for I will hang onto the canoe for you up to 6 months for free and it will be stored indoors but the layer of dust may thicken, this is at no extra charge however.
