17' Wood & canvas canoe 2018. "Canvasback" Excellent condition. Original owner.. This beautiful 17' craft, modeled after the Peterborough "Champlain", was finely crafted in traditional style, on a solid form. Both beautiful and functional, with moderate rocker, a 32" beam, and an actual length of 16' 10", it is an excellent pleasure canoe for advanced paddlers. Simple, yet elegant designs are sure to attract attention, if used for display.

Built with northern white cedar ribs and planking, open spruce gunwales, butternut decks, seats, and stern thwart, and an ash carrying yoke. #10 canvas painted a deep rusty red, that comes alive in sunlight. All fasteners are copper, brass, or bronze. This canoe has been in the water only a handful of times, and will show signs of very light use, such as a few defects in paint, small dents in gunwales, and wear on seat caning. Please note pictures.
