If you are able to pick it up, with about a quart of the 200 hours I put into it in 1978 some intrepid soul should be able to make a serviceable canoe out of the residue of something that was really amazing in its day. No word of a lie, this one is pretty close to hopeless, to me definitely, but perhaps not to someone with enough time and patience...The photos document the sorry state of affairs. The last straw was the violent storm that caused the oak limb to impale the stripper, up on saw horses, as it awaited its rehab "appointment" NOTE: This stripper canoe was fiberglassed using WEST epoxy's [non-toxic] system, over redwood strips glued on my strongback. The venerable WEST company should be a viable source of the expertise necessary for a proper rehab. If someone is able to pick it up in RI, with about a quarter of the 200 hours effort I put into this formerly-awesome rig back in 1978, they should be able to re-construct a serviceable 18 foot canoe out of the Good Bones of something that really was something else, back in the day.
