Canadian Canoe

It is a hand made white cedar strip canoe, each strip was rounded on one edge and grooved on the other to allow a smooth finish around the curves. The inner and outer stems was made from laminated steam bent hardwood. The inner and outer rails was also steam bent to form a compound bend this gives strength to the hull with out stress. It is fitted with a hardwood keel which has a brass strip along its full length to give extra protection. The seats are also made from cedar with raking inserts.

The inner and outer hull has been coated with clear west system fiber glass and has received 8 coats of varnish. The canoe has only been used once, since then it has been under cover. It is insured for replacement value only at a cost of $5000.The starting price is a reflection of part material cost only. I have not included labour so it is well below it true value and is only been sold for personal reason. Payment on pick up cash or bank cheque only
