Canoe seat webbing ONLY, 1-1/2" wide, (1/16" (".0625") THICKNESS (compare cheap lightweight webbing at .040")) , black, polypropylene. The industry grade for this webbing is "heavyweight". That is true on all accounts (this is robust webbing), except it weighs no more than cane when applied to re-worked canoe seats. Polypro is the best option for durability, low stretch under damp conditions, and it sheds water well. 16' is required to complete a seat.

You need the strips to be a bit long to get proper leverage & tension before stapling. In 16', you will cut (6) fore to aft straps and (4) port to starboard straps. (See Picture) 16' of webbing will allow for a full weave, but provide nice openings for air flow, which is an important attribute of a canoe seat.
