Old Town Discovery 158 open Canadian Canoe in good condition.As one of the best selling canoes I bought this second hand 3 years ago and have spent quality time with the family, discovered some great quiet spots for a picnic and didn’t realise we had so many kingfishers on our local river. Made from a three layer construction, the Discovery 158 is very strong and easy to paddle. The canoe measures L4.8mtrs x W880mm and is in good condition and very clean on the inside with the normal scuffs on the underside and has 2 strong mooring ropes at the front and rear. Always stored upside down. This boat is the perfect choice for the spontaneous trip down the river for a couple of days and unlike some canoes and indeed the new 158s, this model comes with 2 comfortable reinforced folding seats with the all important back rests to lean back, relax and let the river take you slowly down stream rather than perch on a backless bench.

There is plenty of space onboard with room for children to sit on the central bench seat and has plenty of storage space for sleeping bags, BBQs or just a cool box of wine and beers. I’ve included a brand new 45ltr Crane watertight rucksack, a smaller 10ltr sack for mobiles, keys etc and an important emergency folding telescopic paddle. I’ve also included the twin wheeler carriage with solid wheels to slip the boat onto, transport around some locks or just wheel back to the car after a great day.Collection in person only please from J12 of the A14 near Thrapston, Northants.
