Restored Classic 16' Wood And Canvas Canoe: Local Pickup Only

I completely restored this canoe around twenty-five years ago; used it several times and since my sons grew up, it has been stored in the garage for most of that time. The frame is white cedar with copper clinching. The gunwale is white oak, decks and thwarts are mahogany, seat frames are black walnut with copper set-offs and hand woven cane webbing. I re-canvassed, installed an aluminum rub strip on the bow and stern, and burned my initials into one of the decks, re-varnished, doped and painted the new canvas. Having been stored for so long it can use a new coat of paint; some photos show fading in places where sunlight streamed through the garage window.

The varnish is in very good condition but probably would benefit from a fresh coat. Dimensions are 16' long, 34" beam and 14 " depth amidships. It handles beautifully, glides across the water and the keel helps it stay on course. Included are two paddles, foam padding for car topping and a mahogany seatback for someone sitting on the floor amidships (that will need to be repaired). Payment prior to pickup only through Paypal; if you are dissatisfied with the item at time of pickup I will arrange a full refund.

I will not ship this item; it's far too big! The canoe is located in Bridgewater, MA and will have to be picked up (I can help load it.). After sale we can arrange a convenient time.
